This week, the Keystone Resort community is honoring the life and impact of Bill Bergman, one of Keystone’s founding members. Bergman Bowl, the resort’s new terrain and lift expansion, takes its namesake from Bill. In a letter to team members, Keystone Resort Vice President & General Manager Chris Sorensen shares what it was like to experience it with him. Chris says, “I was fortunate enough to take Bill up to the new lift in October and he was overwhelmed with joy and couldn’t believe the size and scope of the project. He shared stories of skiing in what is now called Bergman Bowl in the mid-80s, and how that area of the mountain was always his favorite.” Founding a ski area in the Colorado Rockies in 1970 was no easy feat- it took grit and determination to build the vibrant resort that our teams and guests enjoy season after season.
