Our Teams are Piloting the Newest Safety Tools

Our Health & Safety team is always working to keep our teams and our guests safe – and now, that includes piloting some of the most advanced AEDs on the market. Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, and Laurel Mountain are being outfitted with new Avive AEDs, along with several other pilot locations in the Northeast, Tahoe, Keystone, and Employee Housing. AEDs are portable defibrillators used during a sudden cardiac arrest, and these new units have advanced features that will provide better protection in our unique resort environments – including GPS tracking, cell and Wi-Fi connectivity, auto-notification to teams like ski patrol and dispatch, built-in training mode, multiple languages, and universal components for treating all ages.

“Seven Springs, Hidden Valley and Laurel Mountain are now the first ski resorts in the world to be protected with the latest and most advanced public-facing AED technology on the market,” says Jacob Wenmark, our Director of Health & Safety for the Eastern Region. “We are excited to pilot the Avive AEDs here and across several other complex resort locations to best keep our guests and team members safe.”
