My Epic Gear is Vail Resorts’ newest innovation: The ultimate gear membership program. My Epic Gear offers members all the benefits of gear ownership but with more choice, lower cost, and no hassle. We announced this innovative new business in March and so many teams across the Company have been working to prepare to pilot it this coming season. Today, we are excited to share that Vail Resorts is officially launching the My Epic Gear pilot program for the upcoming 2023/24 winter season!
The My Epic Gear pilot will operate at Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail, and Beaver Creek and pilot membership will be offered exclusively to a limited number of selected adult pass holders for the 2023/24 winter season. The pilot program provides a unique opportunity to learn directly from our guests in advance of expanding My Epic Gear in the 2024/25 Winter season and beyond, so participation will be limited to eligible pass holders. We have received a lot of excitement from team members across the Company eager to join My Epic Gear and will keep you updated on opportunities to do so in a future season.
Over the coming weeks, eligible 2023/24 pass holders will have the option to learn more about My Epic Gear through exclusive sneak peeks into the benefits of membership: from the incredible gear lineup, with over 50+ ski and snowboard models from 15 leading brands (more choice), and the low price of $50 for a membership to the season and $50 a day price (that’s lower than the average cost of traditional rentals), to the convenience of slopeside pick-up and drop-off and free delivery (no hassle). Starting next week, eligible pass holders will have the opportunity to apply to be selected for a My Epic Gear membership spot for the 2023/24 Winter pilot.
- Following the 2023/24 pilot, we plan to expand My Epic Gear to 8 more of our resorts for the 2024/25 winter season: Whistler Blackcomb, Park City Mountain, Crested Butte, Heavenly, Northstar, Stowe, Okemo, and Mount Snow.
- Starting with the 2024/25 winter season, My Epic Gear will also welcome members under 18 years old so the whole family can join.
