The Katz Amsterdam Foundation was founded by Vail Resorts CEO, Rob Katz, and his wife, Elana Amsterdam, to improve access to behavioral and mental health services in the mountain communities where Vail Resorts operates and expand programs to connect underserved youth to winter sports. $29.3M, donated by Rob today, will contribute to the support of these efforts as well as a new nationwide focus area for the foundation—racial justice.
“We launch this new national focus on racial justice with an understanding that there is much to learn from talented leaders and organizations who fight to make progress every day,” said Katz. “We look forward to better understanding the challenges and inequities faced by so many and how we can best partner and support efforts to transform systems.”
