The Invictus Games are coming to Whistler Blackcomb in 2025 for the first-ever Winter Hybrid Games, which incorporates winter adaptive sports. The Invictus Games are an international event for both serving and veteran service personnel. The Invictus Games celebrate the “unconquered” spirits of injured, wounded and sick service members through sport. The 2025 Winter Hybrid Invictus Games will be held on the traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəyəm (Musqueam), Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səlílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, Skalulmecw Líl’wat Nation and the Gélpcal Líl’wat Nation in British Columbia.
