Thanksgiving and Reflecting on Indigenous Peoples' Day

Thanksgiving in Canada is coming up this, Monday, Oct. 10. We hope our Canadian colleagues have a restful holiday to connect with family and friends. As we share gratitude over the holiday weekend, we also encourage everyone in Whistler and beyond to share in a journey of learning and reflection, working together towards a stronger future of reconciliation and inclusiveness. The mountain range that is home to Whistler Blackcomb sits in the unceded territory of the Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation. To learn more about the Sea to Sky Region, please visit the Squamish Lil’wat Culture Centre

On Monday, we also reflect on Indigenous Peoples' Day, a day that honors the past, present and future of Indigenous peoples throughout the U.S. Today, and every day, it is important to take a moment to celebrate the resilience and strength as well as honor the beautiful traditions and cultures of Indigenous People.
