New Strategies to Improve the Guest Experience

We are always working to improve the guest experience and, this season, we are introducing a new operating plan to load lifts more efficiently and reduce wait times, as well as implementing other operational enhancements across rentals, dining, ski and ride school and more.

To prioritize the mountain experience of our Pass Holders, we are limiting the number of lift tickets sold during three popular holiday periods: Christmas & New Year's (Dec. 25 – Jan. 2), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 14-17), and President’s Day (Feb. 18-27). We are encouraging our guests to secure their visit now by purchasing their lift tickets or pass in advance. Employee and dependent passes will not be restricted during these times.

Also, among the projects announced this week is a new version of EpicMix Time that provides skiers and riders with a full-day forecast of lift line wait times at 12 of our North American resorts. By combining different types of data with machine learning, these predictive wait times will provide another level of transparency to our guests so they can better plan their day at our resorts. The feature will launch within the EpicMix app this December.

Read about the updates here. They are in addition to our capital projects unveiling this season and next. With new lifts planned at five of our resorts this season, and 19 more lifts planned across 14 resorts next season, we are continuously investing back into the guest experience. Read more about how these projects will reduce wait times and increase uphill capacity on our Epic Lift Upgrade page.
