Keystone Opening Day & Pass Restrictions

It is with great excitement that we announce today that Keystone will open for the 2021-22 winter season on Friday, Oct. 22. The Keystone team has been working incredibly hard to get ready for this season’s early opening and to kick off the North American ski season for Vail Resorts.

With limited early-season terrain and our commitment to provide the best on-mountain experience possible for our guests, employee and dependent passes will be restricted at Keystone on opening day and on weekends throughout the early season (Saturdays and Sundays) until we are able to open more terrain at Keystone or open another resort in Colorado.

We understand and appreciate that you are excited to get out on the mountain and welcome the season, and we will continue to communicate any changes or updates to these restrictions as soon as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation as we navigate the early season. We are looking forward to an exciting winter ahead as we ready our resorts to provide our employees and guests an Experience of a Lifetime. Next up, Breckenridge and Vail are scheduled to open on Friday, Nov. 12, and then Beaver Creek and Crested Butte are scheduled to open Wednesday, Nov. 24.
