This June, we will be coming together once again to honor both Pride history and the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer/Questioning Intersex Asexual (LGBTQIA+) community. We are excited to announce a series of events to celebrate our employees while supporting our greater community.
At a time when we continue to see legislation that would infringe on the rights of this community, Pride Month is an important opportunity to bring visibility, education, and support to influence hearts and minds. For this and more, we are thrilled to come together as colleagues to provide an inclusive celebration through Vail Resorts’ 2023 Pride Celebrations.
CELEBRATE PRIDE WITH US
We are celebrating Pride through a series of events and activities focused on learning, celebrating, and giving back to our community.
Mountain Pride “Pride in the Park” - June 3
Vail Resorts - through collaboration between EpicPromise and The Rainbow Room - will serve as a sponsor for Mountain Pride’s “Pride in the Park” in Avon, CO. Pride in the Park is a day-long celebration that draws visitors from the mountains of Colorado. Saturday's celebration has a jam-packed schedule of activities designed to keep everyone interested and engaged. The Drag Show and Parade around Nottingham Lake are the festival's focal points. Employees, family and friends welcome!

Denver Pride Fest - June 24-25
Vail Resorts, EpicPromise and The Rainbow Room will also serve as a sponsor at Denver Pride Fest. Join us at the following Pride Fest events:
- Denver PRIDE 5K - Saturday, June 24
- The race registration fee is waived for employees. Please note there are a limited number of employee registration spots available. We encourage friends and family to sign up separately through the Center on Colfax.

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE RAINBOW ROOMS' WORK
The Rainbow Room, Vail Resorts’ Affinity Group for LGBTQIA+ teammates and allies, has accomplished much in the past year, while also acknowledging there is a lot more work to be done.
- We have created a safe space for our team members where we can openly share our authentic selves and have grown to 75 members with representation from across the company (if you’re interested in joining, email us at RainbowRoom@vailresorts.com!).
- We added Vail Resorts to a letter sent by the Human Rights Campaign to U.S. Senators, encouraging them to pass the Respect for Marriage Act. Successfully signed in December, the law codifies the rights of same-sex and interracial marriages.
- We gained insights into so many of the wonderful in-resort activations supporting and celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community like the Pride and Ski Festival at Whistler Blackcomb and Tahoe Pride hosted at Heavenly.
- We have also been consulting with various parts of the enterprise about making the employee and guest experience more inclusive. From pronouns on name tags, to updating application practices and making it easier for our guests to change their name on their Epic Pass, we feel proud that we are able to help elevate the issues impacting our community.
